I'm having issues using my Jawbone headset with Magic Jack. I have no problem hearing the person on the other end, however all they hear is what can only be likened to the sound a record player made when the needle was sitting on the edge of the record. Just a never ending loop of static, but static with a rhythm, if that makes sense.
I am running a iMac 3.06Ghz with OSX v. 10.5.6
I've paired my headset with my iPhone and have no quality issues there. I've unpaired and re-paired the headset with my iMac with no change in the result.
Tried changing the output volume and the mic volume in the magic jack settings as well as the Mac settings. Nothing but more of the same.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on or how I can fix this?? |

You're able to select your Bluetooth device in the mJ control panel as your audio device?
Under Menu>Volume/Headset Controls, you'll want to choose your device as "Headset/Other. Then make sure the speaker, microphone and ringing are set to your Bluetooth device.
If you've already done these things, I apologize. |

Hi, was this problems solved for you? I would like to wander when i'm on hold a use my magic jack. I get distortion using my computer speakers, and MJ tech support says I need some sort of audio update (no idea what or which...)
They also said a wireless device may very well not work, but if you got it to work i may give it a try...I'm on hold a lot! |
