MagicJack is not taking responsibility for their own services and having the service down for days is unheard of. A couple hours for technical issues is understandable, but to be down for days at a time and then push the responsibility of the problem to all other carriers. And then tell you to have your friends and clients call to complain on your behalf.
This is ridiculous.
Everyone, please go file a complaint with the FCC. It's 30 seconds of your time.
Put the pressure on them by reporting them. Maybe this way we will have some better service. Or any service for that matter.

Did you hear the one about the priest who went into a bar with a one-legged parrot and a five-legged dog? I forget the punch line, but something about the parrot telling the dog that he wasn't really using it, and the priest having to hear their confessions by the jukebox.

I've have never had my mJ service "down for days". I have experienced at most maybe a couple hours of service interruption, but not days at a time. Hey I have my complaints about mJ and how they do business, but for a service that basically works for $20/year its hard for me to be very upset. If I did have such service problems I would complain to the FCC, but as I said for me my mJ is working OK and I'm in my 3rd year of service with them.

I don't mean to make light of people having issues, but for heavens sake, they have blocked countless exchanges, and yes a whole state, for months. Per another forum MANY complaints have been filed with the FCC, so they are well aware of MagicJack.Kif Kroker wrote:I've have never had my mJ service "down for days". That said, is the FCC even going to be interested in hearing that services have been interrupted for a few days and that MJ is blaming it on someone else? I highly doubt it. But I'm like you, I guess if I was frustrated enough I would file a complaint. It might make one feel better, but as some other idiot has mentioned, it will be about as useful as peeing into the wind, IMO.

The only "complaint" that will ever matter is if you and millions of others start dropping the service. $$ speaks louder than words.
No, I would not complain to FCC. At the very moment I felt that I am not getting worth 20$ plus tax/year value, I would toss the dongle into electronic recycling bag and write my last angry post on the forum. If I did have such service problems I would complain to the FCC, but as I said for me my mJ is working OK and I'm in my 3rd year of service with them.
What the f. do all the people expect for 21 bucks a year? A red carpet?
What kind of service do we get from AT@Tea or ConCast for the mega money they charge? Should I bother you just with one story of my last 12 days DSL service interruption and how it was handled ?
I am all for strong regulation and consumer rights and complaints etc.
But this is ridiculous.
Somebody should jump on Dan's neck for all that misleading advertisement, though. There are folks out there who live in a separate universe and believe that they can get someting for nothing and indeed expect a full featured fully reliable 600$/year land line, plus the fact that MJ will not work in certain areas/exchanges should be pointed out.

Next time somebody is going to ask FCC to shut down Goggle Voice because he is not getting good service for the 0 dollars he pays.
