We have several active threads on this subject, but I'll give you a list.
Order/purchase a MagicJack PLUS.
Register your MagicJack by plugging it into the USB port of an Internet connected PC or MAC and follow the steps.
Goto Mymagicjack.com and log into your account.
Click on the button to move your Land Line number to MagicJack and follow the steps "You will be charged a one time fee of $19.95 + small regulatory fee"
In 3 to 10 days it will automatically happen and your land line phone will be dead, If you have DSL I recommend you call your land line phone provider and tell them what you are doing so they don't disconnect your Internet service by mistake."Just tell them you will be moving your number to a VoIP provider and you want to keep your DSL Internet service."
I also recommend you test the MagicJack service for a week before you port your land line number.
Good Luck ! |

For a standard land line port I am sure there is no yearly fee, but if I'm wrong the second year and beyond yearly fee would be $9.95. |
