I ordered the MJ+ yesterday (9/23) from the MJ web page. It clearly says ships to my town in 1 day at the top of page.

Your Free Trial ships to Xxxxxxxxxx in one day!

Got an e-mail conformation. of it at 11:02 AM yesterday though it did not have the $3.95 added for rush shipping. It did however show on my tracking page after an e-mail stating the charge was missing. So, I have this.

Product Code Quantity Price Subtotal
MJPLUS6995 1 $69.95
RUSH395 1 $3.95
REGULATORYFEES4.8 1 $3.93
STDSHIP795 1 $7.95
Total: $85.78

Shipping Address
Xxxxx Xxxxxx
STATE ROUTE 365
Xxxxxxxxxx, NY xxxxx-xxxx
US

Shipping Status
Your order has not yet been shipped

As of 2:08 today (9/24) It still says it has not been shipped, (so much for$3.95 Rush shipping, huh?) so, I guess we wait to see what Mon. brings as far as shipping conformation. We will see how this whole thing goes from ordering to intall.

Welcome to the MJ+ club, I wouldn't have paid for the extra shipping, The unit arrived in two days from West Palm Beach FL. to Knoxville TN. with standard shipping.

We are here to help if needed, The only thing I had to adapt to was 10 digit dialing for a local call XXX-XXX-XXXX.

See you around and Welcome to the Forum. Smile

Yes, 10 digits for all calls (except 411 & 911). My V-tech phone has a speed dial/auto dialer that helps.

Thanks, I have a V-Tech also, a cordless with ans. machine and 1 remote phone. I guess entering the area code wont be to much trouble though I wonder why it's needed if a local area code and prefix is available?
No mail tracking as of yet 5:55 PM.

You entered: 9400115901069263175092
Status:
No record of that item

Sorry, there's no information for that number. It may not be in our system yet; please check back later.

Assume I will be looking for the package about Tue.
I also assume I would be in the same position without the $3.95 extra for "Rush shipping"

Just got this E-Mail:

Dear Xxxxx Xxxxxx,

Please read this important information about your recent magicJack order XXxxxxxxxx.

Your total magicjack order amounted to $ 85.78. Please note that these charges may appear on your debit card as two separate charges. One for $ 4.14 and the other for $ 81.64 for the above stated total of $ 85.78. This process assists many who prefer not having the initial hold for the entire amount.

Thank you,

magicJack Customer Service

I guess I fail to see what difference $4.14 would make but, whatever.

If you are an existing magicJack user, you will find the magicJack plus easy to setup and the response times in calling and receiving with voice clarity is superb. MJ+ finally got it right. I got mine 3 weeks ago and it has been working flawlessly, and I make calls all over the USA and China.

Well, it did come today, plugged it into comp. to register, get a number ect.. There were screens to get a "vanity" number, I guess any number for $10.00 a year. I opted to get my old home phone number for $20.00 and it listed on my magicJack page. They will charge my card tomorrow. However, I did notice after the fact the number has to be active and I had it disconnected about 3 weeks ago. Will see how that works.
Setup was smooth and am using the number they gave me for now until I see how porting my old home number works. So far so good, day 1.

I would think that the unit went bad, they should just send you another one with the condition that you return the defective one. Will be interesting to see how they handle this, keep us posted. The puzzling thing is the fact that it the sound is good with the headphones, what are the chances that both your cord and cordless phone took a crap at the same time....
