I got my magicJack a month ago and so far I am pretty satisfied with it. Vonage was better service, but I was paying $32 a month, and just couldn't resist the savings from magicJack. My cell phone is a Net10 pay as you go phone that I rarely use, so I pay next to nothing for phone service and I am loving it. |

Hey, same as me. I have the MJ and Net10 cell service. Almost free from monthly bills. I also discovered that if you let Net10 run out and don't replenish for a long time, you still keep your number and months. For example you have 6mo left on the phone, but you let the minutes run out. You let it go a month and then add money. You still keep your months and get the added time and months, pretty good deal.
My Mj has been running better than every the past few months. I have a dedicated computer to MJ, but recently i bought an old IBM thinkpad t23 for $99, hooked it up and its been working fine. That's only a 1.2GH processor, 256mb ram and my isp is optonline. I leave it running 24/7. Should use about half the electricity as the desktop. |
