I had a hp thin client that worked uninterrupted for almost a year, power outages and the like. Recently it had to be rebooted and now the MJ will work for about 5 minutes when plugged in and then there will be no dial tone, the MJ still remains lit. Any assistance would be appreciated. thanks.

Check the power saving option under USB in the Device Manager. Power savings should always be disabled.

Try your MJ on another computer......it sounds as though your MJ may be failing.

Thin clients are thin (sic) when it comes to virus and malware protection. I had one up and running Magicjack for over a year without a hitch but it is possible that some sort of bug or critter invaded your machine. It is a simple and relatively painless process to wipe the operating system and reinstall it.

Not a bad idea for many reasons.

If you are unsure of the steps involved, a little reading on this site or on the site of the manufacturer of your TC would be all you would need to get up to speed..
