I had a hp thin client that worked uninterrupted for almost a year, power outages and the like. Recently it had to be rebooted and now the MJ will work for about 5 minutes when plugged in and then there will be no dial tone, the MJ still remains lit. Any assistance would be appreciated. thanks. |

Check the power saving option under USB in the Device Manager. Power savings should always be disabled. |

Try your MJ on another computer......it sounds as though your MJ may be failing. |

Thin clients are thin (sic) when it comes to virus and malware protection. I had one up and running Magicjack for over a year without a hitch but it is possible that some sort of bug or critter invaded your machine. It is a simple and relatively painless process to wipe the operating system and reinstall it.
Not a bad idea for many reasons.
If you are unsure of the steps involved, a little reading on this site or on the site of the manufacturer of your TC would be all you would need to get up to speed.. |
