Shawn: ok I have the same recorded message with the verizon phone but calling the AT&T phone works fine
Rodney: Please be informed that there are some phone providers that blocked magicJack. How you tried calling the number by placing 1 before it?
Shawn: yes I have tried the "1" with the same result..... I have been using the Maigjack for more than a year now with my Verizon cell phone with no issues untill just resently
Shawn: the past two weeks there has been issues
Rodney: Have you tried calling Verizon about this/
Rodney: ?
Shawn: I will try them.... but I can call the magicjack from the Verizon phone without issue
|
He then asked for the phone numbers I used and apologized for the inconvenience.
Has anyone else had this issue?
BTW I have upgraded and also used the MJ recovery file. |

I just tested my Verizon number along with the wife's Verizon number and no problems calling either of them using MJ here in the Chicago land area. |

IIRC beginning of Sept 2008 all mj's were having this problem for a few days -- couldn't call certain cell providers.
Don't know if this is related (and obviously this isn't affecting everyone now). But most likely Verizon will send you back to mj about the issue saying that they do not have a problem.
If it persists, make sure you escalate beyond mj's Level1 Support -- I am pretty sure there is a Sticky in this forum with some "Support Contacts" that may be helpful to escalate. |
