Anyone know if we can buy a new magicJack and transfer credit from a 2nd generation magicJack to the new one? |

As far as I know if you are planning on buying the MJ Plus, the answer is no, BUT you can still use up the rest of yout time left on your orig MJ at the same time as using your orig MJ. They will expire at different times of course.
I saw your other post, so if you are just looking for a replacement for your Orig MJ, in the past some have gotten their time transfered to a replacement others have not. The best thing to do is PRIOR to plugging in your new MJ, contact online chat and they can walk your through it so you keep your old number and MAYBE not lose the rest of your 5 years.

Thanks Joe,
They sent us a new magicJack for the cost of shipping ($9.95). We will follow your advice.

Good news here.
Our new magicJack arrived -- not the Plus model.
Just to make sure that we did things correctly, we did a tech chat with Magicjack support. Under their guidance, we plugged the new magicJack into our new MacBook Pro running OS X Lion (10.7.2), it did an automatic update, we logged in with our previous phone number, and up came the keypad.
It is working perfectly with no glitches on the Mac, and it is working perfectly on our old Windows XP computer (which has a screen that is dying).
True, we have only used it for one day, but it has been smooth sailing. In fact, we didn't really need tech support.
Thanks again Joe for your advice.
