I'm running MagicJack on a first generation Mac Pro under 10.6.8, through a 2 station cordless Panasonic phone. MagicJack has some reliability issues that have been noted before - no dial tone when attempting to make a call, phone doesn't ring on incoming calls - not every time, but too often. Restarting MagicJack generally solves them or an occasional unplug/replug of the dongle. I restart MagicJack several times a day just as preventative medicine.
I'm wondering if upgrading system memory would help. I'm running the stock 1 gig. Has anyone seen improved reliability after a memory upgrade? |
