Delay when answering incoming calls

Help! When I answer the phone there is a 3-4 second delay before the caller can hear my voice, any known cures?

When I answer the phone I have to say "hello" 2-3 times before the caller hears me

Yes, that is a common "problem". I just wait a second ot two before I start talking.
