Static on the phone and not receiving email when I have a VM

I really haven't had much problems with MagicJack until recently. I am getting static on it now. I tried different ports and different computers. Even tried the upgrade without no avail. How can this static issue be resolved. Also, I use to receive emails when I got a voice mail. Now I never know when there is a message left for me as I am not longer getting the emails and the green light never lights up on the MJ screen.

How can I resolve both of these issues. The static issue is a priority as I use that for my business and I am also an actress in training and my agent contacts me on this line in most cases.

Were you close to having to renew your subscription? You may want to check your magicJack account online and see if you're still "active". Are you using the cheap USB extension cord that came with your MJ? If you are, toss it and plug your dongle directly into the back of your PC (if you haven't done this already).

You could also right-click on the MJ icon in your systray, then click on "Advanced Users" and click "Run magicFix" to see if that helps.

You might have a bad MJ dongle if your online account looks good. Others may chime in with other ideas.

As far as I know my account is still active. Had MJ for about 2 months now. I do have the dongle plugged in directly into the computer. It was running clear for a long time until yesterday. As far as the updating, when I go into the Menu of the MJ program and click on the Fix it part it states Error opening URL: Application not Found

As far as your VM goes in 2 plus years I have had that happen to me 3 or 4 times. Every time it was fixed by going into MJ support online chat and having then RESET your VM. Don't let them make you do ANYTHING else since VM is on THEIR server and you could put your MJ in a drawer and you VM will work as long as you have an active account. After they reset your VM, your password will go back to 1 2 3 4 and your outgoing message will be gone and you have to record a new one.
