I've gotten my magicjack to work with a pap2.
I'm trying to fine tune it and noticed that I have a stutter dial tone which indicates that I have voice mail. However, I have cleaned out my voice mail box and have zero messages.
Is there some parameter in the ata that needs to be set to allow this to work correctly?
Has anyone else had this problem?

yep same problem - I can turn it off, and turn it on. Get a VM, listen and delete it. but the stutter tone still comes through like I still have a message.nimbus wrote:I've gotten my magicjack to work with a pap2.

I just went in and cut off vm notification on my pap2. That stops the stutter tone. But the real issue is how can we get the stutter tone to work properly.
If you get a VM the stutter will come on. but when you call in and check /clear the VM you still get the stutter tone. What we are trying to figure out is how to get the pap2 to clear the stutter tone after you clear your VM.

i agree that it should work as designed and that if you clean your voicemail box, the pap should clear the stutter.Rowdy57 wrote:I just went in and cut off vm notification on my pap2. That stops the stutter tone. But the real issue is how can we get the stutter tone to work properly.

in the meantime, you said, "i... cut off vm notification on my pap2". could you please tell me where this option is? i tried looking for it and couldn't find it.
edit: nevermind, can't test it right now, but i'm going to guess it's VMWI Serv: Yes/No option. will test it when i get home.
