Hi All
I have been able to install the MJ+ software on my virtual Win XP installation. The host OS is Kubuntu 12.04 64bit.
My Host System specs are:
AMD X6
8GB
32GB SSD
2 x 500GB HD
2GB GTX 550 Ti
SB Live! Audigy 2
24" LCD & 19" LCD
I have the latest version of VirtualBox installed with the add-ons.
I am able to enabled the MJ+ through the Device-USB menu
the MJ+ installer loads and runs
I am able to access the dialpad
I am NOT able to complete the registration
I keep getting an error "installation with your computer is invalid"
I have opened and port forwarded UDP ports 5060 & 5070 to the virtual XP
MJ support is kinda useless
All I want to do is run the setup so I can get a phone number, then connect the device directly to my network.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks |

Ok,
So I played around with my networking settings... and am now getting a different error message...
"magicJack was unable to contact our registration server.
Please check your internet connection.
If you can browse other web pages, it means our server is temporarily down. Please restart the phone again in a few minutes if it is not ready to call.
We apologize for any inconvenience."
I've snagged a screen shot, but don't have anywhere to post it up..
Anyone? |

I believe your virtual XP OS conflicts with your main OS which is Ubuntu. I would suggest you to have a single OS system to avoid such problem with MJ. |
