we have the magicjack app on Ipod
we are having a butt-dial/receive problem
sometimes we are just sitting and suddenly hear voices out of the ipod
apparently it does not ring, it just automatically picks the call
this is scary and has been embarrassing because we have been busted having "conversations"
what should i do to prevent the ipod automatically / randomly picking calls |

1. Make sure you have the app's Notifications turned on.
2. After you start up and/or finish using using the app (on a call or whatever), make sure you press the iPod's "home" button.
3. For extra measure, simply press the iPod's power button ONCE to "lock" the screen (you don't need to set it to require a password to "unlock" it if you don't want to).
4. Go into your MJ account online and make sure that your iPod app is set to have voicemail turned on and to ring for at least 25-30 seconds before sending calls to your VM box. |

- No, it isn't. Nor is it needed to resolve the poster's problem. The MJ iOS app has a peculiar but manageable problem on certain iOS devices in that after a call using it, if you don't press the device's "home" button before pressing the Power button to lock the screen, subsequent incoming calls to the app will be automatically answered by the app without ringing first. Solution is to simply press home button after each use of the app, at least before locking the screen. |
